Talent

The Port of, "You've Got Talent" sail into this Port, in your life's journey and experience all that God has purposed for your life! TAG-Talents, Abilities, Gifts... You have to pass it on,  TAG, you're it! You know who Tags you? God Tags you and...YOU'VE GOT TALENTS, ABILITIES, GIFTS!!! Question, is your TAG hidden, buried or being used in an honorable way, which is, to bring glory, honor and praise, to The One Whom you received the TAG from? "Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful." (1 Corinthians 4:2 NIV) "Now in this way those (stewards) who are trusted with something valuable must show they are worthy of that trust." (1 Corinthians 4:2 NCV) Four Spirituals- "Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good." (1 Corinthians 12:3-7 NIV) Four different kinds of Spirituals that God may TAG you with. 1) gifts/ministries, distributed by The Spirit, 2) service/administrations, all overseen by The Lord, 3) workings/operations, it is God working in all of them and 4) manifestations, myriad of different expressions given to each believer, by The Holy Spirit, for the overall benefit and health of all. Parable of the Talents: (Matthew 25:14-30) Don't let fear keep you from using the TAG you've been given, by The Lord! A man prepares to go on a journey, he calls three of his servants/stewards together, to entrust them with his property. To one servant, he gives five talents/bags of gold, (worth about 1K per bag) to another he gave two talents/bags of gold and to another he gave one talent/bag of gold, each according to their ability. The man with five immediately put his to work and had a gain/increase of five more. The second servant put his talents/bags of gold to work and doubled his, as well. The third servant, full of fear of loosing the talent/bag of gold, which had been given him, went and dug a hole and buried it without ever utilizing it. After a long time had passed, the man returned from his journey, to settle his accounts.  The servant with five talents/bags of gold brought the five plus the five he had increased and returned it to the owner. The man/owner was very pleased and replied; "Well done, good and faithful servant. You've been faithful with a few things; therefore, I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share in my happiness!" The second servant now comes to the owner and gives him the property plus the increase, being accountable and honorable with what had been given to him; and he gets the same response from the owner as the first servant had. Now, the servant whom had been given only one talent/bag of gold, came and surrendered it back to the owner without any increase, because of the fear he had of loosing it! He was not faithful and the owner held him to account. The servant knew this day would come, but still allowed fear to rule his life, which in the end, was a self fulfilling prophecy, because the thing he feared came true when the owner took away what he had, leaving him with nothing, and gave it to the servant who had the five, which also fulfills another truth..."if you don't use it, you loose it!" He could have at least put it on deposit, in a bank, to draw interest! We are only accountable for what we are given, "each according to his ability." We are not to worry nor or we to compare ourselves to others. Our goal is to be Good and Faithful! Good- I show up and perform at a high level of production, in keeping with my ability. Faithful-I show up - not too sure just how well I'll perform. It's not enough to just show up!  When we show up, we've got to be Good and Faithful at what we do, minister well, do a Good job, in order to hear, "Well done, Good and Faithful servant, enter into all I have prepared for you!" Don't let fear rob you of your blessing to serve. Bema Judgement Seat of Christ: place where our works and TAG, as believers, will be judged, based upon what and how we used that which was given to us, for the purpose of building His Kingdom. By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames. (1 Corinthians 3:10-15 NIV) Talents: 1) A marked innate ability 2) natural endowment of ability of a superior quality. A talent of pure gold is to be used for the lampstand and all these accessories. (Exodus 25:39 NIV) “For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property. (Matthew 25:14 ESV) If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed, but skill will bring success. (Ecclesiastes 10:10 NIV) Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15 NLT) Choose to work hard and smart, by being skilled at what you are doing. Sharpen your skills and tools, by honing and developing your Talents! Abilities: 1) the quality of being able to do something, especially the physical, mental, financial, or legal power to accomplish something.  2) a natural or acquired skill or talent.  And he has given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach others. (Exodus 35:34 NIV) But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today. (Deuteronomy 8:18 NIV) He did this because Daniel, whom the king called Belteshazzar, was found to have a keen mind and knowledge and understanding, and also the ability to interpret dreams, explain riddles and solve difficult problems. Call for Daniel, and he will tell you what the writing means.” (Daniel 5:12 NIV) To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away. (Matthew 25:15 ESV) It is God Who gives the Abilities to teach, produce and create wealth, to solve mysteries and to be accountable for what He has given to each of us to use for His Kingdom and Glory. Gifts: 1) a talent, endowment, aptitude or inclination. GOD-INVESTS-FULLY-TRUSTING-SERVANT A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great. (Proverbs 18:16 NIV) For God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. (Romans 11:29 NIV) leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift. (Matthew 5:24 NIV) We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; (Romans 12:6 NIV) Like clouds and wind without rain is one who boasts of gifts never given. (Proverbs 25:14 NIV) Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. (1 Timothy 4:14 NIV) For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. (2 Timothy 1:6 NIV) I wish that all of you were as I am. But each of you has your own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that. (1 Corinthians 7:7 NIV) The Gifts God gives us will make a way for us, will be different than someone else's Gifts, should not be neglected, ineffective nor left for someone else to use.  We should continually be using and developing our Gifts to be utilized as unto The Lord, for a noble and honorable use! Bottom line: God has a TAG for each one of us with Talents, Abilities and Gifts. He wants us to TAG-Trust Almighty God, Him back, by understanding that it's time to take off running to pursue that which The Lord has for each one of us to do, which is, to chase and pursue others, catching and seeing God TAG them, for His ultimate and Glorious purpose, the reconciling of all mankind back to Him! You have a Talent, that gives you an Ability, to become a Gift, hone and develop it, to become God's Gift to others, here in this world! "This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine, hide it under a bushel, or bury it...NO! I'm gonna let it shine!"
